Pitabu a tropical fruit is native to Borneo.  It is excellent fruit for eating fresh.  It is virtually unknown outside its area of existence.

 

            Pitabu is a very fit case for domestication and promotion as a new commercial fruit.

 

Description:

            Fruits large, of the size of a baseball, orange yellow, pulp orange, taste and flavour excellent, resembling somewhat with a typical orange sherbet.

 

Utilization:

 

The fruits are eaten fresh.

 

Cultivation:

 

Pitabu fruits are cultivated from wild only.  Therefore there is no information available but growing environment and cultivation methods.  New plants can, however, be raised from seed.
